AviClear Laser Therapy for Acne

Unlike many traditional acne treatments that focus on managing symptoms, AviClear targets one of the key underlying causes of acne within the skin. Using a specific wavelength of laser energy, it works directly on the sebaceous glands to reduce excess oil production—one of the main contributors to breakouts.

Timescales

Most patients follow a course of three AviClear treatment sessions. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and appointments are typically spaced approximately one month apart.

This treatment protocol has been designed to deliver the most effective results while allowing the skin time to respond between sessions.

The Procedure

AviClear is a medical laser treatment suitable for mild, moderate and severe acne, using award-winning technology developed specifically for acne management. It is safe and effective for a wide range of skin types and tones.
The treatment works beneath the surface of the skin to target the underlying causes of acne, rather than simply addressing visible symptoms.
AviClear uses a precise wavelength of laser energy (1726 nm) to selectively target the sebaceous glands. These glands produce sebum—an oily substance that helps protect the skin but can contribute to clogged pores and breakouts when produced in excess.
By downregulating the activity of these glands, AviClear reduces oil production and helps limit the conditions in which acne develops—helping to break the cycle of ongoing breakouts and support clearer, healthier skin over time.


