“Airbrushing” Fine Lines
Fine line treatment with hyaluronic acid
Timescales
The airbrushing procedure takes around 45 minutes with results lasting up to 6 months. Results will begin to appear around 2-4 weeks.
The Procedure
We use a very soft hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler with tiny needles to inject very superficially. This allows us to make the etched wrinkles or lines shallower, without any volume distortion. By injecting very close to the surface of the skin we achieve a smoothing of the lines or wrinkles similar to adding water to a dry sponge. Airbrushing is typically split over two sessions to achieve optimum results.
We apply topical anaesthetic prior to treatment, making the treatment as comfortable as possible. There is also local anaesthetic in the fillers that we use, which also helps. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin and has a natural affinity with skin tissue. Following treatment, the hyaluronic acid breaks down naturally over time.
