Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a safe and effective non-surgical treatment for unsightly thread veins (also known as spider veins), most commonly found on the legs. At Estheva, we use a highly targeted approach to visibly reduce the appearance of these veins, restoring confidence in your skin and improving overall leg aesthetics.

This treatment targets fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, leaving your skin feeling smoother and more youthful. Over time, fine lines will diminish as collagen production is stimulated, improving overall skin texture. The laser reduces the size of enlarged pores, giving your skin a more even, refined surface while helping to prevent clogged pores and breakouts whilst the activated carbon draws out impurities, excess oils, and dirt, purifying the skin and promoting a clearer, more balanced appearance.

Timescales

The Sclerotherapy procedure lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes per session.
You can expect veins begin to fade over 3 to 6 weeks, with full results often visible after 8 to 12 weeks..
Some clients may require more than one Sclerotherapy session, depending on the extent of the veins.

The Procedure

A nurse practitioner will inject a specialised sclerosing solution directly into the thread veins using a fine needle. This solution irritates the lining of the vein, causing it to collapse and gradually be reabsorbed by the body. As the treated veins fade, the skin’s appearance improves significantly.

The procedure is generally well tolerated, with only mild discomfort. No anaesthetic is required, and you’ll be able to walk out and return to most normal activities immediately after.

Our Satisfied Patients

Had a couple of laser tattoo removal sessions at Estheva so far and I couldn’t recommend them more! All of the staff are lovely and made me feel really welcome within the clinic. I have been booked in with Julie for my last couple of appointments and it’s been a very positive experience! She made me fully aware of the process before I began and was more than happy to answer any questions that I had. She was easy to chat to and made me feel really comfortable throughout the appointment. Couldn’t recommend Estheva and Julie more!!!!
